Folk Dance and Performing Arts Training
Folk Dance and Performing Arts Training aims to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage of India by providing structured training in traditional folk dances, music, theatre, and other performing arts. Folk Arts Promotion and Artist Empowerment
Uttarakhand is blessed with a rich cultural heritage, expressed through its traditional folk dances, music, rituals, and performing arts. Among these treasured traditions, Chholiya Dance holds a special place as a vibrant folk dance of the Kumaon region, traditionally performed during weddings and festive occasions. However, changing lifestyles, limited livelihood opportunities, and a lack of institutional support have created challenges for traditional artists and several indigenous art forms. The Folk Arts Promotion and Artist Empowerment initiative aims to preserve these invaluable cultural traditions by organizing Chholiya dance performances, folk art workshops, cultural programmes, and training opportunities for young people. The initiative seeks to provide traditional artists with platforms to showcase their talent, gain recognition, and access sustainable income opportunities through cultural events and performances.

Vocational Training and Skill Development
The initiative focuses on youth, women, and economically disadvantaged communities in Uttarakhand. It provides hands-on training in tailoring, handicrafts, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship.
